Gaelic FootballGaelic Games in and around Dungannon has always been well supported, and with Tyrone winning the All-Ireland title in 2003 and again 2005, its popularity has increased dramatically.

The Fort Bar has long been supporters of GAA – sponsoring both Dungannon Thomas Clarkes and now are  the  Main Sponsor of local rivals Donaghmore St Patrick’s.

Thomas Clarkes

Dungannon Thomas Clarkes GFC was formed in 1917. The club has won 10 Senior Football Championships and 3 Intermediate Football Championships.

ONeill Park has been the home of the Clarkes since 1947 and recent development work has made further improvements to the ground which is still regarded by many as the best venue in Tyrone for atmosphere at a big game.

The club colours are green, white and yellow

Donaghmore St Patrick’s

The first GAA club, Donaghmore Eire Og, was established in 1903, by a local school teacher, Cathal O’Toole. Winning there one and only O’Neill Cup in 1927 beating Ardboe, the club changed its name to St Josephs in 1927 and again to St Patrick’s in 1942.

The Fort took over as Main Sponsor in 2007.

The club colours are blue and gold.
